- What if I don’t have a case?
- Come by the Chief’s office! We have a stockpile of awesome clinical vignettes to choose from
- Is there a template I can use for my poster?
- Yes! Here is a default template sized to fit most conferences
- How do I obtain IRB Approval?
- Login to a computer connected to the hospital server and visit: https://hhsconnect.sccgov.org/sites/vmc/research/irb
- Fill out the IRB forms and prepare a CV
- You may need to take the online course & quizzes for the CITI Program certficate (Research Ethics & Compliance Training)
- Check the schedule for the monthly IRB approval meetings (if you miss the meeting, you might have to wait another month!)
- Kimberly Bellon (IRB Administrator) will help facilitate the IRB process and answer additional questions

- Do we have resources to statistical software?
- Through Stanford, we can remotely access statistical programs. Contact Stanford’s Graduate Medical Education Training Coordinator to get sponsorship for your SUNet ID (for 2021 it was Matt O’Neil moneill@stanfordhealthcare.org). This is the same account you use to access Stanford’s Lane Library for articles
- Afterwards, go to https://cluster-checkout.stanford.edu/ and you can download a software to remotely access a Stanford computer with a list of potential statistical softwares
